FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

+ WHAT TIME IS YOUR SUNDAY SERVICE?

We start at 10am and go to about 11:30am.

+ WHERE DO YOU MEET?

We meet at 321 East Avenue in Rochester, NY. We share a building with Bethel Christian Fellowship, but we meet in their Historic Sanctuary - reference map for directions. Go to the large stone historic sanctuary with stained glass. Enter the glass doors on Anson Place.

+ WHAT ARE YOUR SERVICES LIKE?

We begin with worship in a contemporary style, lead by musicians within the church. People are free to sing, lift their hands, shout, dance, kneel, be still and quiet. All of these are found in the Bible and encouraged in our service. After praise and worship, children will be dismissed to our children's service, Treehouse Kids. We will hear teaching directly from the Bible, inspired by the Holy Spirit, most often by our pastor, Garrett Wendt. The atmosphere is welcoming to families and individuals of all ages, nationalities, and demographics.

+ WHAT MAKES LIFETREE DIFFERENT?

LifeTree is a multi-cultural, multi-national church. We have a strong value of welcoming all nations, tribes, and tongues. You will hear many different languages before and after service, though services are in English. We have church members locally and around the world participating in our community through our online resources.

We strongly value creativity and artistic talent. We work together to use our gifts and talents for the glory of God.

+ HOW DID LIFETREE GET ITS NAME?

The Tree of Life is mentioned 10 times in the Bible.

The Cross itself can be looked at as the Tree of Life, for it was on that Tree, Christ shed His blood to give us Eternal Life.

Ultimately, Christ Himself is the very source of the Tree of Life. One Old Testament name for Jesus is the Branch. The Tree of Life is a manifestation of Jesus Christ Himself! Those who come to Jesus and feed on Him, receiving Life Everlasting as we abide in Him, will never be disappointed!

Our desire is for people to find God and experience the life-change a relationship with Jesus can give.

+ HOW DO I "PLUG-IN" TO LIFETREE?

We know everyone is on their own faith journey, and we want to be a part of your spiritual growth. We believe that true community is vital to growth and learning. We want you to feel comfortable and be "plugged-in" to our family within the greater body of Christ. You might be wondering how to become connected and get to know people on a deeper level.

We encourage you to attend a service on Sunday morning. Beyond Sunday services, we encourage you to serve in an area of your gifting, attend our Saturday Prayer, and check out other community events. We are also strong proponents of hospitality, and encourage you to connect with fellow LifeTree members outside of church. Take some time out of your week to meet and get to know someone, take the opportunity to get together with someone when they extend their hospitality. Our community is built by individuals making intentional connections.

Attend one of our community gatherings : Community Night, Womens Group, and Young Adults Group. Check out the calendar for LifeTree event details.
